The Field

The Field

We camp on a very special field on an organic farm that has been our home since Dance Camp Wales began in 1986. The field is close to ancient woodland and an estuary in the Pembrokeshire National Park.

It's a wonderful place to be and one we are lucky to have.

Workshops
It all began with a hand full of people wanting to do more circle dancing, and now along with the circle dancing and wonderful live musicians, you can try many fantastic kinds of dance that may be new to you or you just haven't found time for before.

Start your day with one of our movement classes, or join others in the very popular Taize singing that nourishes the soul. Have a go at the drumming workshops or wander to the creative area to have a go at the many workshops offered.

Morning Circle

Keeps you in touch with what's going on, a time to celebrate and exchange ideas.

Creative Area

Always buzzing with folks learning new skills, and trying their hand at different workshops, from jewellery making, knitting, leatherwork, circus skills, and so much more. Sessions run twice a day so you can learn something new in the morning and in the afternoon. It's definitely a place to let your imagination play that is much loved by the kids and adults of Camp.

Kids Kitchen

A mentored kitchen space where twice a day the kids at camp can learn to cook and bake. The kids love it and they are always so proud to bring the things they have made back to their circles. We also have teen sessions where they can learn new skills and new recipes.

Climbing Frame

From toddlers at dawn to tweens at dusk, the Dance Camp Wales climbing frame is a great place for kids to hang out, swing about, balance climb and slide. A dedicated team keep the structure safe throughout camp. Remember parents and guardians need to supervise their children here. The climbing frame is in the middle of camp, between the Café and Big Dome, so you can watch camp and meet friends as you play.

Crèche

The cuddly, caring crèche is open during workshop sessions and has a dedicated team to look after and entertain the under 5s, giving parents a chance to go to workshops twice a day or have a much-needed rest.

Teen Space

Teen circles welcome newcomers and workshops offer music, games and space.

Moon Lodge

A place to go to honour your cycles and to ground yourself from the busyness of camp.

Star Lodge

Our beautiful, well-loved, 28-foot tipi has lots of different workshops going on and it's a wonderful opportunity to experience what it's like to step into an age-old structure with a real fire.

Shop

Our very own on-site place to get organic whole foods, fresh fruit & veg and other essentials. We do our best to source the produce locally and all the money we raise from the shop goes back into the infrastructure of Camp.

Café

A community-run sumptuous sanctuary, open from morning till night, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with those delicious cakes we have all come to love.

Sauna

Always open for you to detox and relax. It's a wonderfully healthy way to start or end your day.

Facilities

Dotted along the hedge line of our beautiful site sit our permanent timber-framed compost loos, and in the top corner of the field we have a simple communal shower dome supplying hot showers all day. These areas are all lovingly cared for and cleaned by our fabulous site crew twice daily.

What to bring

Camping gear to make you comfortable, a torch, clothes for those hot sunny days, and occasional chilly nights, gorgeous glad rags, instruments, things to share, songs, poetry, games, things to sell and amuse for our market day.

Ground Rules

You're expected to show respect for your fellow campers and the environment. No animals except for guide dogs. No smoking in any of the enclosed spaces. Terms and conditions apply.

Vehicles

Park in the adjacent field. No caravans or live-in vehicles are allowed without prior permission.
